Mid 19th century, the name "Badminton" was coined by a wealthy homeowner trying to show off his backyard at the Badminton House in SW England. The owners name is the Duke of Beaufort, he constantly hosted partys and to show off his backyard, took the popular game from India, lowering it to a backyard sport. The original name is "Poona" formed in India by the British colonists in 1867.

Current World Ranking is 64, however her world tour ranking is 58th. In 2021 she held second place for the womens junior leauge. She is currently 21, being born in 2003.

She came to the US for her coach(at some point) Mohammed. She played two of the best players of the club she went to. This was supposedly preperation to play in Australia where she will be competing with An Se Young herself.

The Thomas sup is a world tournament for male badnminton teams. The award goes to one countries badminton team every year. This category's wins have been predominantly from China and a few wins from Korea. The year Mohammad started coaching the team, they won first place for the first and currently their only time. Because of this, he shook hands with the prime minister of India Narendra Modi wich is like shaking hands with Xi Ji Ping or Biden. He also coached the best Indian WS(womens singles) player, Pusarla V. Shindu. Pusarla's current world ranking is 12th and her world tour ranking sitting at 20. Mohammad was her coach for her game against Carolina Marin. The first non-asian women to hold first place as well as keeping her position for over 6 years. Pusarla ended up loosing, but some good memes and reactions from Mohammed came out of it.

An Se Young (안세영)

Current womens number 1 player in the world, 2nd in world tour rankings. She was named a 'rising star' as Carolina Marin the previous 1st that had held that position for a little over 6 years was overtaken. Score of 21:12 and 21:10 respectively.

Current number 1 in the world for mens singles and 2nd in world tour.
